Google Sites is a free web-based tool which provides teachers the opportunity to move all of their “file cabinet” documents to the cloud. Teachers will learn to use this tool as their classroom website to be utilized as a launch pad to all of their Unit lesson plans, student portfolios and pacing guides. Teachers will use this tool to communicate classroom happenings and project/activities deadlines with students and parents. Teachers can differentiate instruction by utilizing “permissions” to allow students to progress through the learning experience at their own pace. Teachers can store student artifacts and portfolios within the pages of their lesson plans. All teaching resources: lesson plans, black-line masters, activity directions, and web-based resource links can be stored and organized using Google Sites.
