We invite you to join us for the second annual Google in Education California Summit to be held at Sequoia High School in Silicon Valley on July 13 & 14, 2013. This high intensity two day event focuses on deploying, integrating, and using Google Apps for Education and other Google Tools to promote student learning in K-12 and higher education. The program features Google Certified Teachers, Google Apps for Education Certified Trainers, practicing administrators, solution providers, Google engineers, and representatives from the Google education teams.  Register now to send teachers, administrators, tech directors, library media specialists, tech support staff, CTOs, and anyone who is interested in finding out more about leveraging Google Apps for Education to support student learning. Admin Strand Administrators and Leaders, make sure to check out the sessions geared towards leaders in Room "Admin Strand" or by searching titles with the #goodforadministrators tag. Make and Take Many presenters will be offering a "make and take" work session directly after their session. Follow up with some Q & A, work time and opportunity to create a project based on the session. Office Hours Many of the presenters will be hanging out in our Office Hours in Room (TBD) to answer your questions or help you with a project.

The World
Wendy is an enthusiastic ICT in education consultant and lifelong learner. She has taught 4th graders in Los Angeles, been an elementary technology coordinator in India, a university technology
specialist, online teacher, and curriculum developer and trainer around the world. Her Master's degree is in educational technology, where she focused on finding out how real-world science projects using technology increased motivation in her students, and she particularly enjoys research experiences for teachers, helping bring the world of science and social studies to students and teachers using technology and has received a variety of technology fellowships, including NOAA Teacher at Sea, Earthwatch Educator Fellow, PolarHusky Teacher Explorer, JR Teacher at Sea, and NEH Fellow, everywhere from learning archaeology in Wisconsin to helping build shelters for sick Tasmanian devils in Australia to dog-sledding in Scandinavia!

Most recently, Wendy has been working in South East Asia as a Visiting Scholar in eLearning at the National University of Laos, helping connect the country's higher education system using interactive online curriculum, and helping capacity build in the education sector of Indonesia, Philippines, India, Nepal, and Thailand with Google's access and support team. She also has been an education consultant for a variety of other organizations, including Wikispaces and the Sundance Institute, and has been working with RTI International on ICT in education projects in Sri Lanka and Africa.

Wendy loves travel and adventure and you can find her on one of many fun-creating devices, like a snowboard, surfboard, kite board, mountain bike, muay thai boxing gym floor or yoga mat.
